But when you ponder deeply it is a haunting and thought-provoking novella that explores various themes of the human psyche. It's a story about a salesman named Gregor Samsa who turns into a vermin on an unfortunate day and how he deals with this transformation. "Metamorphosis" on the surface is a straightforward story. One author who has always intrigued me is Franz Kafka, so it was an easy decision to begin my journey with his renowned work, "Metamorphosis."
